The association Museums Communicators in Denmark (MiD) was founded  in 1999.  MiD is an association of past associations Danish ICOM CECA and FDMf (Association of Danish Museum Intermediaries).

MiD is a national association whose purpose is to promote, develop and publicize museums communication – including exhibitions and education at Danish museums and other cultural institutions.

MiD will promote cooperation in museums communication and education locally, regionally, nationally and internationally.

MiD magazine is published once a year in English. This issue is available for all ICOM CECA members. Older issues can be found at our website.

Michael Gyldendal
Chairman of MiD since February 2014. Member of the board of directors since 2009. Head of the School Services at the Danish Museum of Science and Technology and consultant on digital learning for the School Services on Zealand. Has served as the MiD representative/national correspondent for ICOM CECA since 2010. Has worked with education and communication and digital learning since 1996, e.g. at Esrum Kloster and
Deadline Games.

Birgit Pedersen
Vice chairman of MiD since 2010, member of the board of directors since 2003. Member of the editorial team of MID Magasinet. Member of the working group of the ODM’s international seminar on education and communication from 2002 to 2008. Has worked
with art education and communication since 1997, covering such areas as teaching, exhibitions, concept development, project management, and general management. Curator and head of the department for education and communication at ARoS
Aarhus Kunstmuseum from 2002.

Henrik Sell
Member of the board of directors since 2006. Has been a member of the working Group behind the ODM education and communication seminar for several years. Vice President of ODM; member of the steering committee for MMEx. Has worked with school services, education, communication, and exhibitions at the Museum of Natural History, Aarhus since 1986.

Mie Ellekilde
Board representative in the working group for ODM’s Annual Academic Meeting from 2009 to 2013. Has worked with museum education, exhibitions and Collection management since 2005, e.g. at the agricultural museum Oldemortstoft in the south of Denmark and at the Historical Museum of Aalborg. Currently Project Manager at
Meaning Making Experience, an independent organization created to support the Danish museums in their digital endeavors. Works with social media, Knowledge Sharing
and managing of projects focused on digital experiences, museum education and the collaboration between museums and ICT businesses.

Dorthe Godsk Larsen
Member of the board of directors since 2009. Working at the cutural project  Danmark bliver til.  Member of the working group behind the ODM education and communication seminar. Works with museum education, collaborative projects between museums and the education sector, and audience development. Has worked at Sorø Kunstmuseum and The Museum of Contemporary Art, Roskilde.
